Crystal growth experiments run for hours or days at a time, and keeping track of what the furnace is actually doing matters a lot for understanding your results. I built and programmed LabVIEW systems to handle real-time instrument control and data acquisition for our growth setups, including temperature regulation and logging across multiple channels. On the back end, I wrote Python scripts to clean, process, and visualize that data, so the full pipeline goes from raw sensor readings to interpretable plots without manual handling in between. This kind of instrumentation work runs through all my other projects and has pushed me to think like an engineer as much as a scientist.
